Design Process

The Design Process

It all starts with a conversation — over coffee if you're in New York City! After receiving your inquiry, I'll send a few initial questions in order to get to know you, your business, goals and vision. You'll also have the chance to ask me any questions you may have. After getting to know you and your design needs, I'll send a detailed quote for your review. Once everything is approved by you, I'll send a contract for you to sign and an invoice for the first deposit.

Once the deposit has been paid and the contract has been signed, I'll send a detailed creative questionnaire that will help me better understand your story and position in your market. I'll ask that you create a detailed mood board full of images and designs that you feel are on-brand. This part of the process helps me understand you, your story and how we can translate that into branding that resonates with the world.

After reviewing the answers to your questionnaire and your mood board, I'll put together an inspiration board to make sure we're on the same page. Once the direction is approved, I'll begin designing your logo concepts for you to review. You'll have 2 rounds of revisions to refine the designs to perfection. Once the main logo is finalized, I'll send over concepts of supporting assets such as alternate logos, submarks and badges, each getting their own round of revision.

Once the main logo and supporting assets are approved, I'll get to work on building out your brand and applying it to print collateral, social page designs and other applications that you need so that you have a cohesive look and feel across your business. Once all of your assets are approved, I'll put together a brand board that details all of the elements of your design as well as some brief brand guidelines. All of the design files will be delivered via Dropbox — ready to launch.
